Youth with a Future Program
Klabin's Youth with a Future Program is geared to assisting youngsters as agents of community development in the towns where the company has manufacturing plants.
The program was implemented in 2005 in the towns of Jundiai and Piracicaba (SP), Telemaco Borba (PR), Lages, Otacilio Costa, Correia Pinto and Itajai (SC), São Leopoldo (RS), Ponte Nova (MG), Feira de Santana (BA) and Goiana (PE). In 2006, the program was extended to the towns of Angatuba (SP), Betim (MG) and Guapimirim (RJ). The Network now numbers more than 900 participants, representing more than 400 organizations and has been established in 14 municipalities. Since the launch of the program, the combined networks have already developed almost 40 actions and benefitted a total of 2 thousand youngsters.
