Klabin owns forests that have been certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and was the first company in the Pulp and Paper sector in the Southern Hemisphere to be awarded FSC certification, for its forested areas in Parana, in 1998.

Klabin is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of board in the country. Klabin’s cartonboard is made with a mixture of short (eucalyptus) and long (pine) fiber which helps to give the package strength and excellent printability. All Klabin’s cartonboard mills have been awarded Chain of Custody certification by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

Klabin is both the pioneer and the leader in Kraft Paper production in Latin America, besides being the largest manufacturer and exporter of packaging paper, responsible for 74% of Brazilian exports. Currently, the Company has 6% of international kraftliner trade. Kraftliner produced by Klabin supplies the needs of the company’s nine corrugated box plants and is exported to more than 50 countries.
