In order to operate in a highly competitive segment, Klabin has consistently invested in product and process innovation, which includes re-engineering materials, distribution channels, packaging systems and servicing.
All the paper used to manufacture packaging is produced by Klabin itself, both virgin-fiber and recycled papers, which is a guarantee of quality of the raw materials. Today the production of corrugated boxes and recycled papers made by Klabin can now be sold with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) trademark of sustainability.
The company’s converting plants are all technically equipped to produce a large variety of corrugated boxes, from the larger flutes such as A, B and C to microflute.
Some of these flutes can be combined with each other, offering an ample range of applications and strength characteristics. Furthermore, Klabin works with several different treatments to increase thermal resistance of the boxes, protect them against moisture and prevent fat penetration. For the storage and transport of foodstuff, the company uses contaminant-free substances.
Flexography is the predominant printing mode on corrugated board, but Klabin also works with offset printing done by specialized partners. Flexography printing in up to four colors produces incredible results, quickly and economically. The use of polychrome combinations increases the possible number of colors and tones starting from the four primary colors, and making it possible to reach the desired result with the package in the best possible way. Klabin also works with atoxic inks, ideal for food transport.

Klabin’s Customer Service guarantees full support in the use of its boxes, obeying criteria which are clearly defined by the needs of the customers. To assure this is so, a team of technicians makes preventive visits, following up on trial lots and on commercial lots.

Klabin’s technicians go to the customers’ plants to train the groups that deal directly with the boxes. In this way, the customer avoids damaging the boxes, improves their performance and thereby reduces his costs.
