Chapter I
On the Denomination, Objectives, Head-office and Duration
Art. 1º - KLABIN S.A. is a publicly traded corporation governed by this statute and by the legal, applicable provisions.
Art. 2º - The corporation has its head office and jurisdiction in the city of São Paulo, State of São Paulo,with powers to establish and extinguish subsidiaries, offices and any other establishments of its interest in the country or overseas, in acccordance with the decisions of the Board of Directors.
Art. 3º - The corporation has the following objectives::
- a) Industrial and commercial activities, including imports and exports, of pulp, wood pulp, paper, board and the like, their by-products and derivatives, packaging for any purpose, wood products in all its forms, forest and farming products, including seeds, machinery and raw materials;
- b) Silviculture, agriculture and cattle-farming, including forestation and re-forestation by means of any incentive with legal provisions, covered by third-party funding;
- c) Mining, including research and work with minerals, their industrialization and sale;
- d) Technology and services related to the corporate objectives;
- e) Transport, gas stations for fuel and lubricant supplies and other connected activities which the nature of an integrated industry requires;
