The mission of the area is to develop organizational competencies helping to improve technical knowledge and behavioral development, promoting a culture of safety in order to obtain resources and assure a workforce that is trained and motivated for the challenges of growing competition in the global market, as well as an ample program of benefits.At the end of 2010, Klabin numbered 14,063 employees, 111 of whom in Argentina. This meant an increase of 18.7% in its payroll compared with 2009, a reflection of the increase in volumes of production and business. Furthermore this marked the start of a move to give priority to own employees in the place of contract workers.Of the total, 58.1% are own employees and 41.9% are contract workers. The group of own employees is composed of 92.0% men and 8.0% women. The majority (60.9%) is made up of skilled workers in the 30 to 50 year bracket.
