The year of 2009 was a very special one. The whole world endured serious economic turmoil, the issue of sustainability held the spotlight at COP15* and Brazil made its mark as a significant force on the global scene. A year when Klabin completed 110 years of activity.
Brazil’s biggest producer, exporter and recycler of paper, Klabin faced up to 2009 with the determination, discipline and responsibility that comes from 110 years of being part of the history and development of Brazil and, with commitment from everyone, worked to transform the global crisis into opportunity. Opportunity to renovate, to innovate, to reinvent. Opportunity to improve processes, to boost productivity, to construct new solutions, new ways.
It was in this challenging environment that Klabin built up the following results which we now present. In the certainty that these challenges will continue to grow, Klabin is preparing for the future. A future which will demand even more discipline, more creativity, more determination and more responsibility.
